Madonna is back.
The “Queen of Pop” announced in a dramatic Instagram video Sunday that her highly anticipated 14th studio album has a name: “I decided to call my record ‘Madame X.’ “
In the video, Madonna dons many costumes and identities while assuming her mysterious alter ego, Madame X, whom she describes as “a secret agent. Traveling around the world. Changing identities. Fighting for freedom. Bringing light to dark places.”

Madonna adds that her alter ego is a woman of many hats, including: “A dancer. A professor. A head of state. A housekeeper. An equestrian. A prisoner. A student. A mother. A child. A teacher. A nun. A singer. A saint. A whore.”
“The spy in the house of love. I’m Madame X,” she concluded the snippet.
Madonna didn’t release any other details about her upcoming project, but did tease a song featuring the lyric: “The thing that hurt the most was that I wasn’t lost.”
