LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) —Nebraska coach Tim Miles apologized Thursday for asserting he’ll indifferent be a millionaire if he gets fired.

Miles and college basketball author Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com on Sunday talked about how Miles and his family beget handled speculation about his future next season. The Cornhuskers (15-12, 5-11) are tied for 10th in the Broad Ten after returning four starters from the team that completed fourth, and the team has made the NCAA Tournament easiest once in Miles’ seven seasons.
Miles, below contract through March 2021, could well perchance be paid a $2.52 million buyout if he’s fired next month.

“Within the occasion that they fire me, they’re indifferent going to pay me. I’m indifferent a millionaire, so I’ve purchased that going for me,” Miles told Goodman.

Miles used to be criticized for the statement by a Lincoln newspaper columnist and followers posting on social media platforms.

Miles tweeted Thursday , “Earlier this week, my (sarcastic) try at humor all through a podcast failed. Anybody who is conscious of me understands that I purchased into instructing and live a basketball coach for reasons previous money.
